1995;Leeuwin Estate Chardonnay Art Series;Margaret River;Australia

An old relativ of the "family" and I have had many good memorable TNs with this wine despite that overseas chardonnay is not always my cup of tea. Leeuwin-95 has lost that crispy fresh peach and buttery nose and is now totally flat. (87)

A very wild wine. I am not shure this is my palate. Fluent salty licorice. The second the wine hits the mouth you feel this licorice combined with peper...sorry the rest of the TN is missing...

But it's fun the see the TN 4 years later. I can still remember this wine. Even if I don't use points anymore - I would definitely not score it (92) like I did 4 years ago - but maybe (80), due to it's low drinking pleasure

WOW! Can Merlot taste like this?..cinnamon prunes chocolate..where is the duck and Santa? This is a frut driven monster who will get many fans. I have never tastet so soft tannins
but there is still enough structure to balance it. How long will this vibrating fruit hold? (95)

Fun to see this TN again in 2008. Taste can really change. Last time I tasted this wine - I hated it. So heavy and thick structured.

2003 Kilikanoon Shiraz Covenant, Clare Valley, South Australia, Australia

(This is what I remember –had this a week ago at celebration of midsummer)

One of the heaviest wines I have ever drunk. The wine had seen no decanting and it was drunk outside, so it might have had its impact, but it smelled literary of beef blood and fresh new wood. The structure is extremely heavy and virtually impossible (for me) to drink more than one glass. My girlfriend thought that it was the most revolting wine she had ever had (55?)

2001 Elderton, Conmmand Shiraz, AUS

(Juleaften)Det væltede ud af glasset med klassisk alkoholiseret Shiraz stil. Sødmen er drævet af faddets sødlige, nærmest likøragtige tone og det er instant pleasure eller rynken i panden på den intellektuel søgende smager. Vinen tager sig efter en lille halv time sammen og bliver mere rank. Til gengæld får den nærmest Lakrids-chock og det er ren Piratos land. Forsamlingen elskede den – havde aldrig smagt noget så godt – så svigersønnen scorede point. Boller fra Koberg – den er glemt hurtigt i min bog, men ikke en dårlig vin.
