1990 Chateau d’Yquem, Sauternes/Barsac, Bordeaux, France

(From 0.375 cl. Bottle)

Almost impossible to be served after the 2001 Chateau d’Yquem. But this is a fantastic wine – more evolved of course with; latex, apricot, pineapple and good fair purity. When I say fair on the purity note, it could actually be a bit better – a cooler breeze of liveliness of freshness could have provided the edge. The taste is good with good concentration, but again missing the definition to score higher. (95)
