A blend of the 1989, 1990 and 1994. Blackberries, prunes, almonds, vanilla, paté and notable new oak. The wine is really nice, but lacks in definition and some purity. Taste is better – it has a lovely cool breeze and the structure is really well defined. If the nose could gain an edge in time I would score it higher. (94+)
