1988 Krug Vintage, Champagne, France

This is the second time I try the 88’. Medium yellow in colour with vanilla, flowers, honey melon and a nutty toasted note. It’s big and bold in style and everything is looking good, but I found the same mid-hollowness in the mouth. I suspect there is still some acidity in the wine that teases a little bit on the finish. It’s not a big ” hole and it’s still a fantastic champagne. (95+)
