2000 Sandrone, Cannubi Boschis, Piemonte, Italy

(Opened 24 hours in advance)

A potent sweet fruit core with camphor, pine needles and medicine. Very appealing in its opulent approach – round, soft and good objective values. It’s not very typical as a Barolo and personally it would have preferred some more classic strokes with rougher edges and more profiled. It might come around perfectly in time even though the structure is not confirming that aspect. Let’s see – I will rest my remaining bottles for 2-3 years more.
