2001 Aldo Conterno, Barolo Vigna Cicala, Piemonte, Italy

Oh man – please tell me that I have this wine in my cellar. This glass is irresistible on all major counts. The most delicate sweetness imaginable, with camphor and integrated in this combo is cherry stones and unheard purity. The taste has so much fruit, structure, but still it lands soft and with the same refined sweetness which initially opened the show. Should one dwell on finding matters of concerns about this wine, it would have to be, that it drinks so good at this young stage and it will be more than a challenge to keep hands of from the bottles lying safely in my cellar.
