2000 Podere Poggio Scalette, Il Carbonaine, Tuscany, Italy

Decanted for one hour and it evolved enormously. The nose has a sense of something smooth, pure and velvet inside. Not many minerals here, that leaves out some bite. But then comes the most refined note - The wine start to evolve a coca-cola tone combined with parsnip - seriously!. I liked it. The taste is lacking some depth, but it's very elegant. (91)

Tasted 23rd March 2005, Glass : Riedel Sommelier Bordeaux Grand Cru
