2001 La Spinetta, Barolo, Vürsú Campe, Piemonte, Italy

I knew this wine would draw first hand impressions away from “Scrio”. It’s so more opulent and had seen 4 hours of decanting before serving. Fruit is seductive, impressive depth with fantastic camphor warmth and blood warm fruit. Compared to the 2000 Version this wine showed much more restrain in the taste – structure is better, really firm and this gives so much backbone to this bold style of wine – without it I would be concerned. Best Points guess (94-96).
